How do the sessions work?

All sessions are 55 minutes long, and delivered online via Zoom. Before you book, you'll be able to read more information on your Director's credits, philosophy, and availability. Sessions can be one-on-one, or up to four people, for the same price. Split the investment with your fellow actors!

After you've booked, you'll receive your sides via email. Sides are chosen to suit your age, gender, and look. Directors often provide us with current scripts from projects that they are working on. If you want to work on a specific scene (eg. for an audition or a reading) - attach it when you book so we can pass it on to the director. We recommend you learn your lines.

Session plan examples:

1. 10-15 minutes could consist of a short chat to get to know you, and if you have a Spotlight profile, headshots, and/or reel, the director could review these and give you advice on them. Then the rest of the session on the scene. Every session includes a reader (unless there's two or more of you). You'll try bold offers, being directed as if you were on a professional set.

2. The full session could be spent working on the scene, practicing taking direction and flexing your acting muscles.

3. QnA with the director for career advice, branding, review of showreels, etc.

4. Got a big audition you want direction on from a real director? Let us know that's what you want to focus on when you book, send us your sides, and we will make it happen. Don't worry if the scenes are confidential - we are actors, we will keep them completely safe and working on your audition with coaches doesn't breach confidentiality.

If you want to work with one director on the same scene across multiple sessions - that's fine! Perhaps you want to work the scene, then shoot it as a self-tape, then get feedback and work on it further. This is your session; we will craft it to suit you.

Be professional.

Please ensure you are on time to your session, ideally in the waiting room 5 minutes before starting. A director's time is valuable, and it reflects badly on you professionally if you are late.

Industry disclaimer:

Our sessions are designed for actors to hone their craft under the guidance of top directors, as they would on sets or in rehearsal rooms. Any professional relationships that arise from these meetings are incidental - these sessions are not an audition.
